Walnut Street Theatre's 2015-2016 Independence Studio on 3 season continues with one of Eugene O'Neill's greatest dramatic works, A Moon for the Misbegotten. Philadelphia audiences will be the first to see this production before it becomes the sixth national tour of a Walnut Street Theatre production. Directed by Kate Galvin, the production begins previews in Philadelphia on January 12th, opens January 14th and continues through February 7th.

Orange County, Calif.-Jan. 9, 2015-Composer, conductor and teacher Leonard Bernstein, one of the undeniable giants of 20th-century music, and the first American-born conductor to become a major star, becomes the focal point of Pacific Symphony's second "Music Unwound" concert this season, "For the Love of Bernstein." In 1985, a young Carl St.Clair met Bernstein as a conducting fellow at Tanglewood Music Center. A few years later in 1990, St.Clair stepped in for the ailing Maestro and conducted his "Arias and Barcarolles" during what turned out to be Bernstein's last concert. St.Clair would soon be named music director of Pacific Symphony, but the impact of Bernstein's mentoring to St.Clair has remained to this day.

Arthur Gelb, the much beloved Managing Editor of The New York Times, a champion of theater coverage there as early as the 1950s and beyond, and co-author, with his wife Barbara, of a massive three-volume biography of American playwright Eugene O'Neill, is celebrated in the CUNY TV rebroadcast of a 1999 THEATER TALK interview, co-hosted by Michael Riedel of the New York Post and producer Susan Haskins, airing today, May 30 (2014) at 9:30am, 2:30pm, and 7:30pm. Mr. Gelb passed away on May 20.
