Tucson psych-rock purveyors Mute Swan have been releasing swirling, dreamy jams since 2014, and today the band is releasing their latest with Post-Punk. The hazy “Enough Fun” video follows a ragtag band of American one-percenters cruising in the Mercedes, burning money with a pope-like figure, looking as if it could be the result of the eccentrics of The Garden making a video for Galaxie 500 and leaving the VHS out to melt in the desert sun. Although sonically light and airy, the lyrics allude to frustration with the unchecked power of today's wealthy elite. Explains vocalist Mike Barnett, 'America is having a melt down right now. This song is about that. With fuzz.' It's a taste of the underground DIY oasis blooming in the Sonoran Desert, a longtime source of inspiration and refuge for the art community.

Behold, a rare gem, a piece of art that combines two vastly different disciplines: theater, and math. Ironically, what makes David Auburn's Pulitzer Prize winning play, 'Proof' so entertaining isn't so much the math, but the chemistry between the characters. Get out your pens and pencils, students, because Strawberry Theatre Workshop's harmonious performances are noteworthy.

When we entered The Edye at The Broad Stage to see Jonny Donahoe's solo show EVERY BRIILIANT THING, we were handed pieces of paper with a number and a phrase after being asked if we would be willing to participate when called upon to read the contents when our number was called. Of course, we agreed and so the stage was set for a very fun evening of audience participation theatre in this new play about depression and the lengths we will go to for those we love. In this acclaimed show based on true and untrue stories, a young boy attempts to cure his mother's depression by creating a list of the best things in the world.
