Lincoln Center Festival began with the idea of expanding the possibilities presented at Lincoln Center and bringing to audiences something that they could not see elsewhere. This is a challenging goal in a city as culturally rich as New York, and the result has been an eclectic mix of artists and productions representing over 50 countries as of Festival 2009.

HAIR Sets Another House Record At Al Hirschfeld Theatre For Week Of 6/8-14

The producers of HAIR announced today that the new Broadway production, which opened March 31st to critical (and audience) acclaim, has once again set a house record at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street). For the week of June 8 - 14, the week after winning the Tony Award for Best Musical Revival, HAIR's box office gross was $963,233, the highest for any eight-show week at the 1,400 seat theater, which opened in 1924 (and besting its own house record of 5/22 -- $934,229).

The Relevant Stage Theatre Company (TRS) will present a visionary musical adaptation of Upton Sinclair's 1924 play, 'Singing Jailbirds'. The new production titled, UPTON SINCLAIR'S SINGING JAILBIRDS: THE MUSICAL will feature a large cast of performers. The story is set in 1920's San Pedro, the Port Town of Los Angeles amid the demonstrations of union activists during the worker's movement.

The producers of HAIR announced today that the new Broadway production, which opened March 31st to critical (and audience) acclaim, has set a new box office record at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street). For the week of April 13 ? 19, HAIR?s net sales were $861,450.48, the highest for any eight-show week at the 1,400 seat theater, which opened in 1924.
