A founding resident company of The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia (COP) announces the inaugural year of a new annual season-long partnership with the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. Beginning in the 2017/2018 season, The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia will be orchestra-in-residence at the Annenberg Center.

Back in February, BroadwayWorld reported that stage and screen star Kevin Kline would star in The Acting Company's reading presentation of Noel Coward's charming comedy PRESENT LAUGHTER. Now he's taking the show to Broadway, according to the New York Times.

It is, quite simply, one of the most acclaimed and enduring performances in the history of theater. Fifty years ago, a young actor took the stage in a tiny Off-Broadway theater and introduced the world to a man they would never forget. The actor was Hal Holbrook and the man was Mark Twain. Now Harris Center audiences will be able to experience this legendary performer for themselves.

On Sunday, October 11th, noted silent film composer, accompanist, and historian, Ben Model will provide live accompaniment to the 1925 comedy classic, THE FRESHMAN, starring Harold Lloyd. The movie is 76 minutes in length; is directed by Fred C. Newmeyer and features Jobyna Ralston, Brooks Benedict and James Anderson.

With The Suit, theater director Peter Brook-whose 1987 production of The Mahabharata inaugurated the BAM Majestic Theater (now the BAM Harvey Theater)-returns to BAM with Theatre des Bouffes du Nord to showcase his signature approach of innovative stage design and the integration of live music. Written by Can Themba, The Suit was adapted for the stage by Mothobi Mutloatse, and Barney Simon.
