The Martha Graham Dance Company announces the 2018–19 season of its popular Studio Series, which offers audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the work of the Company in the intimate setting of the Martha Graham Studio Theater. The events in this season's Studio Series revolve around the Company's EVE Project, a two-year initiative featuring new works by female choreographers and classic Graham repertory focused on heroines and anti-heroines—all with an underlying statement about female power.

Throughline Theatre Company closes ninth season with The Inspector General, opening August 10 at Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre in downtown Pittsburgh. Absurdist comedy continues season's theme, 'Make 'Em Laugh'.

Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum presents the first-ever revival of a historical melodrama about the Haitian revolution that graced the stage at New York's Lafayette Theatre in Harlem in 1938 as part of the Federal Theatre Project. Haiti by William DuBois will join Theatricum's summer repertory season beginning July 28. Performances will continue at Theatricum's beautiful outdoor venue in Topanga through Sept. 29.

HEIFETZ, written by James Inverne and directed by Andrew Leynse. All ticketholders for the evenings of Saturday, February 10 (Mariella Haubs); Saturday, February 17 (Edward W. Hardy of Sterling Strings); and Saturday, February 24 (Luisa Bastidas) are invited to remain after the performance to enjoy live music performed by special guest violinists. Seattle Public Theater rings in the new year with the fourth production of its 2017-18 Season with the musical comedy-fantasy Vanishing Point. Aviatrix Amelia Earhart, evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson, and author Agatha Christie all have one thing in common: they were women who vanished mysteriously. Christie walked out of her life in 1926 and was discovered at a hotel 11 days later with no recollection of what happened.
