Barneys New York to Feature Daphne Guinness Preparing for The Met Gala

Barneys New York announced today that they have collaborated with Daphne Guinness to curate a selection of pieces from Guinness's private collection, as well as from the collection of Isabella Blow, to be featured in the Madison Avenue windows.

The Shelter Presents NIGHT WINDOWS at WorkShop Theatre, 5/5 -15

Every apartment window offers glimpses of the lives inside. In the dramatic anthology Night Windows, The Shelter presents three one-act works each with a nocturnal look at the inhabitants of one apartment at different places in time: people forced to face a moment of great change, whether they want to or not. Based on Edward Hopper's famous and haunting painting of the same name, Night Windows will be performed at the WorkShop Theater Company's Main Stage venue, located at 312 West 36th Street. Members of the press are invited as of the May 6th performance.

Romare Bearden's The Block and Related Drawings On View at Metropolitan Museum Beginning January 15

Romare Bearden's vibrant mural-size tableau The Block (1971) and related sketches and photographs will be featured at The Metropolitan Museum of Art beginning January 15, 2010, in a small installation of works from the collection.

Old Courthouse Theatre is still in need of the positions listed for it's run of RETURN TO THE FORBIDDEN PLANET. Tech/Dress rehearsals are Sunday, 9/27 - Wednesday 9/30 at 8 pm. Performances are October 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 16, 17 at 8 pm and October 4, 11, and 18 at 2:30 pm.
