Producing Artistic Director Carolyn Griffin is pleased to announce A BROADWAY CHRISTMAS CAROL, created by Kathy Feininger, will return to MetroStage for the holidays tonight, Nov. 24, through Dec. 27 for a sixth season. Gobodo-Madikizela is a member of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission determined to understand his actions. She questions de Kock, who is sentenced to two life terms plus 212 years for crimes against humanity, murder, conspiracy to murder, attempted murder, assault, kidnapping, illegal possession of firearms, and fraud.

Written by beloved Atlanta author and playwright, Pearl Cleage (What I Learned in Paris, The Nacirema Society…) and directed by Alliance Theatre Jennings Hertz Artistic Director Susan V. Booth, Blues for an Alabama Sky is a timeless look at hopeful dreams in the hopeless days of the waning Harlem Renaissance. Opening night is Wednesday, April 22, 2015.

The Old Globe's West Coast Premiere of The Twenty-seventh Man by award-winning novelist Nathan Englander, directed by Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein, will now play an extra week of performances -- through March 22 -- due to ticket demand for the originally announced run. Tony and Emmy Award winner Hal Linden ("Barney Miller," The Rothschilds) leads a cast of Broadway and Globe veterans including Ron Orbach, Robert Dorfman, Eli Gelb, James Shanklin, and Lowell Byers. The Twenty-seventh Man will run February 14 through March 22 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run February 14-18. Opening night is Thursday, February 19 at 8:00 p.m.
Fox Valley Repertory opens their 2015 theater series with Douglas J. Cohen's musical game of cat and mouse, No Way To Treat a Lady. Based on the novel and movie by William Goldman (The Princess Bride, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid), the award-winning musical is directed by John Gawlik with music direction by Jeffrey Poindexter and choreography by Christie Kerr.
