The producers of the Tony Award nominated Broadway revival of GREASE announced today that the gang at Rydell High will get a new 'class couple' on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 when Derek Keeling and Ashley Spencer join the cast in the lead roles of 'Danny' and 'Sandy.' Max Crumm and Laura Osnes will play their final performances as the high school sweethearts on Sunday, July 20, 2008.

Ruth & Stephen Hendel and Roy Gabay present the world premiere of Fela!, a new musical based on the life of groundbreaking African composer, performer and activist Fela Anikulapo Kuti. Directed and choreographed by Tony® Award winner Bill T. Jones (Spring Awakening) with a book by Jim Lewis and Bill T. Jones, Fela! will feature Kuti's rousing music performed live onstage by Antibalas and other members of the New York Afrobeat community.

Golden Globe winner and Emmy Award nominee Dylan McDermott has joined the cast of Playwrights Horizon's first production of the new season, the World Premiere of THREE CHANGES, a new play by Nicky Silver. Directed by Tony Award nominee Wilson Milam (The Lieutenant of Inishmore), the production will begin previews on Friday, August 22, 2008 with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, September 16. The limited engagement will run through Sunday, September 28 at Playwrights Horizons Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

Cast members from Broadway's Tony Award-Winning Spring Awakening join with Volunteers of America's Operation Backpack (OBP) in an appearance at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre, Wednesday, July 9th, as a kick-off for this year's campaign, helping school-aged children all over NYC. The show's cast members will appear in an OBP public awareness campaign about the needs of homeless children that will appear on bus-sides and phone kiosks all around the city, starting later this month. Cast members will be signing 'limited-edition' poster-sized copies of the ads, for a $20 donation to OBP. Coldstone Creamery also joins the event, providing tasty ice cream creations, to the first 100 who participate, as supplies last.

Les Misérables in Concert makes its Hollywood Bowl debut in a production featuring Melora Hardin as Fantine, Maddie Levy as Young Cosette, Tom Lowe as Enjolras, Michele Maika as Cosette, Michael McCormick as Thénardier, J. Mark McVey as Valjean, Lea Michele as Éponine, Brian Stokes Mitchell as Javert, Sage Ryan as Gavroche and John Lloyd Young as Marius. Rosie O'Donnell, who was to play the role of Madame Thenardier, has withdrawn from the performances in order to care for her eldest son, who broke his wrist. She will be replaced by veteran actress Ruth Williamson.

Broadway in Bryant Park tomorrow has been postponed due to the pending inclement weather. They are rescheduling tomorrow's performance for the rain date of August 15th. The performance was to include the casts of The Lion King, Vanities, Hairspray, Forbidden Broadway and Godspel.
