Bay Area Cabaret audiences will get a first look at the national tour concert ADAM & ANTHONY LIVE starring Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp. After 15 years of friendship and co-starring roles in Jonathan Larsen's Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Rent, these two iconic Broadway stars are coming together to bring fans what they've been waiting for: an up-close-and-personal concert featuring their individual work as well as fan-favorite numbers from the production that rocketed them to international stardom. The concert plays one night only 7pm, Sunday, November 21, 2010 in the Venetian Room of the Fairmont San Francisco. Block, Broadway star of '9 to 5: The Musical,' 'Wicked,' 'The Pirate Queen,' and 'The Boy From Oz,' will star opposite Jason Alexander, Artistic Director of Reprise Theatre Company, in 'They're Playing Our Song,' the opening production of the company's 2010-2011 season, playing September 28 to October 10 (press opening September 29) at UCLA's Freud Playhouse.

Eric Schaeffer, Artistic Director of the Tony Award®-winning Signature Theatre, today announced the company's 2010-2011 season of four musicals and three plays, with the innovative company producing three world premieres and one regional premiere.

On Saturday, September 5 at 2 pm, John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molskey (in her Tanglewood debut) will tape their popular radio program, 'Radio Deluxe,' at the festival for later broadcast on more than 60 stations nation-wide.

CHESS opened at the Signature Theatre on August 10 and will run through September 26. The cast is lead by Jill Paice (Curtains, The 39 Steps) as Florence Vassy, Euan Morton (Boy George in Taboo, Sondheim on Sondheim) as Anatoly Sergievsky and Jeremy Kushnier (Footloose, Rent) as Freddie Trumper. The rock musical is directed by Signature's Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer. Written by Mamma Mia! composers Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson with Evita and Lion King lyricist Tim Rice, the 1984 cult musical of Cold War competition in love and chess is being given its first major Washington area production. Chess is being performed in the fabulous intimacy of the 276-seat MAX Theatre.

The Cadre, an emerging theater company, today announced that Alex Lenderman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Lenderman), renowned Grandmaster chess player, will lead a fundraiser for Art of Attack, the company's upcoming original play about two Russian brothers' addiction to chess. The event will take place on Saturday, August 21st, from 2 PM - 6 PM, at Holley Plaza in Washington Square Park and will give attendees the opportunity to compete against Lenderman for $10 per game. Prizes include tickets to see Art of Attack as well as chess sets and free lessons courtesy of the New York Chess and Game Shop. Theo Ubique's next show, Sweet and Hot: The Songs of Harold Arlen, is a musical revue of some of the 20th century's most popular tunes. It is presented in association with Michael James with previews at 8 p.m., June 18-19, opening night at 7 p.m., June 20 and running at 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays and 7 p.m., Sundays through August 8 at the No Exit Cafe in Rogers Park.

ADAM PASCAL & ANTHONY RAPP are coming to the New York's Town Hall Monday, January 10, 2011 at 8pm. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, July 7th and are available from Ticketmaster and Ticketmaster.com starting at noon. General public tickets will cost $25-60 and limited VIP seats will cost $95. Town Hall is locarted at 123 West 43rd Street (between 6th Avenue & Broadway).
