Rubicon Theatre Company continues its 2010-2011 Season with MASTER HAROLD...AND THE BOYS, a powerful and compelling drama by Athol Fugard which begins previews February 9 at Rubicon's intimate 195-seat home in Ventura's Downtown Cultural District. Set in the 1950s, MASTER HAROLD is the story of an adolescent white South African torn between his relationship with the black waiters who have befriended and cared for him, and the principles instilled in him by his father, an injured war veteran who is alternately absent and abusive. Recipient of the New York Drama Desk Award and London's Evening Standard for Best Play, this gripping drama has much to say about how racism can be passed from one generation to the next. Directed by Rubicon Associate Producer BRIAN McDONALD, the production features DANIEL STEWART, ANTHONY (TONY) HANEY and CHRIS MADDOX.

This March, the CAP21 Theatre Company opens its new theatre with a production of The Daughters , a new musical by Shaina Taub, will be the debut production of the CAP21 Theatre Company in its new state-of-the-art black box theatre. Now occupying two floors, the CAP21 facility features 2 performance spaces - the new Black Box Theatre in addition to The Shop, plus a total of 17 rehearsal studios.

With music by Grammy Award winning composer Michael Silversher, six-time Emmy Award winning author/illustrator Mo Willems adapts his Caldecott Honor winning children's book Knuffle Bunny into a brand new family musical. Directed by Rosemary Newcott with choreography by Paige Hernandez. The production is recommended for children ages 4 and up. Performances are Sunday, October 24, 2010 at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.

Next Spring, Roundabout Theatre Company will present a new Broadway production of ANYTHING GOES, starring Foster as 'Reno Sweeney.' Audiences will be whisked away to 1960s Baltimore when Pittsburgh CLO presents Hairspray July 20 - August 1 at the Benedum Center. Adapted for the stage from John Water's 1988 film, Hairspray ran on Broadway for over six years and has since become a toe-tapping hit all over the world.
