The critically-acclaimed show stars Sandy Hackett, son of the illustrious comedianBuddy Hackett, and his wife, Lisa Dawn Miller, daughter of legendary songwriter, Ron Miller. The two produce the show under their jointly-led production company, Hackett Miller.

Viral vintage pop sensations Postmodern Jukebox ("PMJ") will take the Capitol Center for the Arts mainstage today, October 27, 2018 at 8PM. The CCA, with its Art Deco decor, is an ideal venue in which to hear a performance which the band itself calls a "non-stop throwback carnival."

A new musical is being developed by a Nova Scotian writing team that will feature songs originally made famous by Anne Murray, the Grammy-award-winning singer from Springhill, Nova Scotia. The show just underwent a 2-week developmental workshop in Halifax with an 11-member cast of actors. The workshop culminated in a staged reading presentation at the Bella Rose Arts Centre this past Friday.

Cortland Repertory Theatre ended its Summer season with The Rat Pack Lounge at their lovely downtown location. The jukebox musical - showcasing those familiar hit tunes sung by the legendary Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Dean Martin - is written by James Hindman and Ray Roderick with musical arrangements by John Glaudini. Director Mark Reynolds and his cast took the audience back in time.

For those too young to remember the vaudevillian style lounge shows popular in the 50s and 60s in Las Vegas, where an iconic and often talented performer in their own right hosted other acts to keep gamblers entertained as they visited the lounge bar for a drink, looked for a companion for the night, or needed time to recover from a huge loss at the tables, you can now experience a little bit of old Vegas, right here in Hollywood. And I can tell you, I don't remember laughing as hard as I did the night I attended THE TONY MARTINI VARIETY HOUR at Three Clubs Cocktail Lounge, rumored to be the exact same place where Frank Sinatra would hang out with his assorted Rat Pack buddies, friends, and lovers during their own Las Vegas heyday. And that vibe still exists in the room where those great entertainers wowed the crowds so many years ago.

Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ), the show known for bringing new songs back into the old stream and classic sounds back into the mainstream, will perform for eight evenings at the Terry Fator Theatre in November. Omaha Performing Arts announces Omaha native Michael "Gooch" Gurciullo and his swinging big band will kick off Jazz on the Green Thursday, July 5, 2018. Gurciullo and his 17-piece musical extravaganza cover classic tunes and some of the best songs from the 20th century in a vintage Vegas-style show. Celebrated vocalist and pianist Christine Hitt will also join the band on stage to commemorate the band's 10th anniversary in Omaha.

The Rat Pack Lounge kicks off The Round Barn Theatre at Amish Acres 2018 season of seven upbeat Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals, comedies, and dramas. The season headlines the theatre's perpetual Plain and Fancy, the second longest uninterrupted run of any show in America except for Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera.

Porchlight Music Theatre and Artistic Director Michael Weber are proud to announce the final production in its 2017 - 2018 season of Chicago's hit musical revue series, New Faces Sing Broadway. New Faces Sing Broadway 1975, hosted by Donica Lynn with direction by Christopher Pazdernik and music direction by David Fiorello, is Tuesday, June 5 at The Skokie Theatre, 7924 Lincoln Ave., Skokie at 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday, June 6 at The Arts Club of Chicago, 201 E. Ontario Street, at 6:30 p.m. (The Arts Club presentation also includes a pre-show reception at 6:30 p.m. with performance at 7:30 p.m.). In tribute to the original New Faces series that ran on Broadway and on film from 1934 - 1968, Porchlight Music Theatre created the Chicago musical revue series, New Faces Sing Broadway as a showcase for the best emerging music talent now performing on Chicago stages. Each edition is a "time-machine" journey from the start to the finish of an entire musical season from the classic days of Broadway, peppered with photos and films of the era in an exciting multimedia presentation with a favorite Chicago theatre veteran like Donica Lynn hosting and introducing the next generation of music theatre artists while acting as your guide through a vintage year on the Great White Way. Les Lankhorst, who has made a career of performing the music of the great crooners is returning to Kansas to headline the annual Great Bend Jazz Festival. This years Festival, which began as a two day festival, is celebrating it's 22nd year. The Festival is thrilled to have Mr. Lankhorst and his onstage small big band return as headliners. The event will also feature The Great Bend High School Panther Jazz Band, as opening act.
