Imagine Documentaries Announces Partnership With Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation, Inc.
by A.A. Cristi - Aug 12, 2019

Imagine Documentaries President, Justin Wilkes, announced today that the company has reached an exclusive deal with the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation to produce the definitive documentary on Jazz legend and beloved entertainer, Louis Armstrong. The deal comes with access to hundreds of hours of audio recordings, film footage, photographs, personal diaries and a life's worth of ephemera for exclusive use in the first significant documentary dedicated entirely to his life. BWW Review: FIDDLER ON THE ROOF Successfully Continues the 'Tradition' at Music Hall At Fair Park
by Zac Thriffiley - Aug 8, 2019

This current production makes a compelling argument for the freshness and timelessness of FIDDLER and its message. The performers fill every scene and musical number with a renewed sense of urgency, determined to show that the forces that worked upon Tevye's family and his tight-knit community are still very hard at work all these decades later.

BWW Review: FIDDLER ON THE ROOF Proves Just as Vital and Engaging in 2019 as When it Debuted in 1964
by Jeffrey Ellis - Jun 26, 2019

Fiddler on the Roof first debuted on Broadway in 1964 and in the intervening 55 years, it's become a beloved standard in the Broadway musical canon, being revived many times and performed on stages all over the world in productions both professional and amateur. The heartwarming tale of the world-weary dairyman Tevye, his long-suffering wife Golde, their five(!) daughters and their suitors and all of the other inhabitants of the Russian village of Anatevka has been delighting audiences ever since that initial mounting and rather than growing old and rather precious over time, Fiddler on the Roof instead has become even more relevant, particularly in the current socio-political climate in which immigrants have become political pawns and in which change is constant.

BWW Review: SHE LOVES ME at Elmwood Playhouse, Nyack, N.Y.
by Peter Danish - Nov 14, 2018

Ironically, Miklos Laszlo's 1937 play 'Parfumerie' was not produced in the United States until 2009. Yet that did not stop the Hungarian hit from becoming the inspiration for a whole host of American films, plays and musicals: first the 1940 film, 'The Shop Around the Corner' with James Stewart and Margaret Sullivan, then in 1949 as 'In the Good Old Summertime' with Judy Garland and Van Johnson, then in 1998 as 'You've Got Mail,' with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. It also inspired the 1964 musical by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, (the team behind 'Fiddler on the Roof').

BWW Review: FIDDLER ON THE ROOF at Spotlight Theatre Auckland
by Monica Moore - Apr 22, 2018

The much-loved 1964 musical is a timely reminder that we are standing on the shoulders of those who came before us. Traveling back to Anatevka feels more familiar than expected. The music is wonderfully familiar and the all time popular 'Tradition', 'Matchmaker Matchmaker', 'If I were a Rich Man' and 'Sunrise, Sunset' to name but a few, will have you singing along. The orchestra is beautiful and pays homage to the much loved music. Musical Director Edwin Randall is indeed a supreme maestro.
