Set in New York City during the Great Depression, Rocket to the Moon tells the story of Ben Stark, a middle-aged dentist whose career and loveless marriage are in shambles. A beautiful, ambitious and idealistic assistant, Cleo, walks into Ben's office, and Ben falls in love for the first time in his life. Cleo offers Ben the possibility of a new and happier future, and Ben struggles about whether or not to take a rocket to the moon.

Westport Country Playhouse to Present Lightwire Theater's MOON MOUSE, 3/20

Westport Country Playhouse's Family Festivities Series will present Lightwire Theater's "Moon Mouse:  A Space Odyssey," a cosmic adventure with music about Marvin the mouse, on Sunday, March 20, for two performances, at 1 p.m., and 4 p.m.  Lightwire Theater is internationally recognized for its signature brand of electroluminescent artistry and poignant storytelling. Recommended for age 5 and up, the show runs one-hour.  Tickets are $20.

Robert Portal to Lead AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS at St. James Theatre

Casting is announced today for Around the World in 80 Days, which will run at the St. James Theatre from 26 November 2015 to 17 January 2016, with press night on 3 December 2015. Leading the cast in the role of Phileas Fogg will be Robert Portal, who, in challenges reminiscent of Fogg's own quest, has rowed 3000 miles across the Atlantic in The Talisker Whisky Challenge and partaken in the Marathon des Sables, running over 150 miles of the Sahara Desert in six days, raising money for charity in both instances.
