North Carolina Theatre Announces Upcoming 2015-16 Season!

North Carolina Theatre is thrilled to announce their 2015/16 Season - bringing some of the very best from Broadway to Downtown Raleigh. This season includes the NC Theatre premiere production of Disney's and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins, along with Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's classic musical Into the Woods, eternal audience favorite Grease and the poignant and powerful play Wit by Margaret Edson. Rounding out the season are two tours presented in association with Broadway Series South; Dirty Dancing-The Classic Story on Stage and Ragtime.

Faith Conservatory of the Fine Arts will host a special evening of entertainment, "Expanding The Arts: Suddenly Sondheim," a one-night-only showcase benefitting Faith's Conservatory of the Fine Arts. The program will feature beloved Sondheim classics from "Into The Woods," "Sweeney Todd," "West Side Story," and "Dick Tracy," as well as honor the talents of master magician Lance Burton. The event, which is open to the public, will showcase the incredible talents of the students.

The musical masterpiece returns, direct from Broadway! As part of their 50th Anniversary Season, Roundabout Theatre Company is a proud to announce a national tour of SAM MENDES (Skyfall, American Beauty) and ROB MARSHALL'S (Into the Woods and Chicago, the films) Tony Award®-winning production of CABARET.
The tour will launch in January 2016 and visit over 20 cities in North America. All casting and market information will be announced shortly.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival's (OSF) production of Into the Woods will move to Beverly Hills, Calif., as part of the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts' 2014-15 season. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine, Into the Woods heads to the Wallis' Bram Goldsmith Theater tonight, December 2, and runs through the 21st.

With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine, Into the Woods runs through October 11 in OSF's outdoor Allen Elizabethan Theatre before heading to the Wallis' Bram Goldsmith Theater December 2-21, 2014.
