Theatre Horizon Sets 10th Anniversary Season: INTO THE WOODS, THE SYRINGA TREE & IN THE BLOOD

Theatre Horizon unveils its 10th Anniversary Season, the third in its home at 401 Dekalb Street. This year, the theatre sets out to showcase works that deal with apartheid in South Africa, adulthood through a fairy tale, and homelessness. The season will include Pamela Gien's The Syringa Tree, Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into The Woods, and Suzan-Lori Park's In The Blood. In conjunction with In The Blood, the theatre is conducting a county-wide project called Imagine No Homelessness. This thrilling season begins in October and runs through May. BRAVO PRODUCTIONS is about cartoon characters, fairytales and talented children in the month of June when ANNIE KIDS and INTO THE WOODS JR. grace the stage at the Randolph Road Theater. June 7 is the final class presentation with adorable Orphan Annie in a 30 minute version that makes a perfect first production for young musical theatre patrons. Directed by Laurie Levy Issembert, Choreographed by Darnell Morris and Music Directed by Laura Brady, ANNIE KIDS stars Ella Coulson as Annie with a cast of 27 other young theatre artists in grades 1-6, some taking the stage for the first time, and others with numerous credits and veterans of past BRAVO PRODUCTIONS. Miss Coulson has just been cast as Amaryllis in Rockville Musical Theatre's upcoming production of The Music Man in July.
