Who knew, in 1956, that the Children's Arts Program would grow to become Music For Youth, which would ultimately become the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, by several measures the largest youth orchestra program in the U.S.?! The organization invites any and all alumni from its 55 year history to help celebrate this auspicious milestone! The Alumni Weekend will feature social gatherings, alumni orchestra rehearsals culminating in a performance and a special alumni recital featuring several alums who have chosen to pursue music professionally. And now, the Frye Art Museum presents the first U.S. exhibition of the artist's work. With three of Wong's most important installations, Ming Wong: LIFE OF IMITATION is on view January 22 to February 27, 2011.
