In 'The Past Is Still Ahead' by Sophia Romma, one of Russia's most ill-fated and controversial cult poets of the twentieth century, Marina Tsvetaeva, revisits the tumultuously tragic and sexy events of her life--just before she succumbs to 'suicide' at the hands of the Soviet Secret Police in 1941 while exiled in Siberia. The play will be presented by Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival tonight, July 23, 27 and 28 at The Jewel Box Theater, 312 W. 36th Street, 4th floor, NYC, directed by Francois Rochaix.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the lineup for this year's edition of Latinbeat, today, July 12-21. Opening Night launches with LA PAZ by prolific Argentinian filmmaker, Santiago Loza, who has showcased his work at the festival since 2000, and is also an influential playwright in the indie theater scene of Buenos Aires. This year's lineup also includes the previously announced retrospective of filmmaker, Matias Piñeiro, who will screen his films THE STOLEN MAN and THEY ALL LIE during the festival while simultaneously theatrically opening VIOLA and ROSALINDA at the Film Society of Lincoln Center tonight, July 12th.

Houston Ballet Artistic Director Stanton Welch has announced the company's 2013-2014 season. Eight new works enter Houston Ballet's repertoire, including world premieres by James Kudelka, Garrett Smith and Melissa Hough in September 2013; the North American premiere of David Bintley's Aladdin in February 2014; company premieres of Jiri Kylian's Sechs Tanze, Christopher Bruce's Intimate Pages and Stanton Welch's Of Blessed Memory as well as a world premiere A Young Person's Guide to Orchestra by Mr. Welch in March 2014.

Magic, mystery, laughter, and three New York premieres are the highlights of the 2013-2014 season at The Centenary Stage Company in their fourth year at the David and Carol Lackland Center. The Film Society of Lincoln Center and Subway Cinema in association with Japan Society announce the full schedule today for the 2013 New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF) which will screen June 28 - July 15. The popular film festival will showcase over 60 feature films with filmmakers and celebrity guests travelling from Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan to attend the festival. Also announced were special focuses for this year's edition of NYAFF including a celebration of the career of Korean star Ryoo Seung-Beom and new works from the Philippines (joining the previously announced focuses on Hong Kong cinema, Taiwan pulp and a salute to Well Go USA).

Organizers of Season of Cambodia announce the final week of events for its two-month long arts festival, which began in early April 2013, and now culminates with a visual arts 'Open Studio' exhibition of works by five artists-in-residence at Governors Island off the southern tip of Manhattan. This 'open studio' of work reflects two months of work by contemporary Cambodian and Cambodian-American artists in the disciplines of sculpture, photography, video, installation, and performance, curated by curator-in-residence Vuth Lyno and the final piece of the festival's visual arts program, IN RESIDENCE, co-curated by Leeza Ahmady of AhmadyArts and Asian Contemporary Art Week (New York City) and Erin Gleeson ofSA SA BASSAC (Phnom Penh). The three-day event, in conjunction with the annual opening of Governors Island on Memorial Day Weekend, takes place at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council's Art Center (Building 110) on May 25th - 27th from 12pm - 5pm daily.

The Theatre Department at the University of Alaska Southeast works with Perseverance Theatre's Director of Education, Shona Strauser, to bring to life The Marriage of Bette and Boo by Christopher Durang. Strauser directs a group of students from UAS, who form both the cast and production team. The show plays today, April 5-7, 2013 at the Hendrickson Theatre, located in room HB 113 of the Hendrickson Annex at UAS.

'Home' stars returning Rep Stage actors Felicia Curry and Fatima Quander, as well as Rep newcomer Robert Lee Hardy in the role of Cephus Miles.
