Cabaret at The Merc in association with Temecula Presents have announced a one-night-only Broadway concert by Academy Award-winning composer, Stephen Schwartz. Kyle Selig will be taking a medical leave of absence for vocal rest from the Pippin tour. It remains unknown whether Thomas will continue throughout the rest of the tour.

The upcoming Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta season is set to receive the star treatment during a 30-minute Primetime special on WSB-TV, airing Wednesday, August 27 at 8 p.m. Hosted by Heather Caitlin, the program will offer fans a behind-the-scenes look at the blockbuster lineup coming to the Fox Theatre during the 2014/2015 Broadway in Atlanta series. On September 5, 6 and 7, the multi-talented singer, actor and comedian Jason Alexander will make his Houston Symphony debut with An Evening of Comedy & Song, led by Principal POPS Conductor Michael Krajewski. While best known for his iconic portrayal of "George Costanza" in the ground-breaking hit TV show Seinfeld, Alexander returns to his Tony Award-winning roots for a night of music and laughs as he reminisces about his remarkable and versatile career on the stage and screen. Bringing his singular brand of entertainment, Alexander kicks off the 2014-15 POPS Season by performing such Broadway hits as "Comedy Tonight" from A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum, "Trouble" from The Music Man, "Magic To Do/Corner of the Sky" from Pippin and "Shiksa Goddess" from The Last Five Years as well as three new musical medleys.
