Unexpected Productions' CANNIBAL! THE MUSICAL Opens Tonight
From South Park's Trey Parker came Team America: World Police and the Tony Award-winning musical The Book of Mormon-but perhaps none more off-the-wall than Cannibal! The Musical, the greatest comedy-horror-musical of all time. Opening tonight, October 4, and running weekends through October.
Written by Parker and directed by Unexpected Productions' Artistic Director, Randy Dixon, Cannibal! The Musical is a hilarious, raunchy, slightly offensive musical based on Parker's 1993 film of the same name.
It tells the true story of Alferd (not Alfred) Packer, his companions and their disastrous trip through the Rocky Mountains on a quest for gold, which resulted in Packer being the only person ever convicted of cannibalism in America. With songs like "Shpadoinkle" and "Hang the Bastard," this parody of classic American musicals like Oklahomareturns to Unexpected Productions as part of our 30th anniversary celebration.
