Tickets To Seattle Opera's Il TROVATORE and FALSTAFF On Sale Saturday 9/14

Beginning tomorrow at 9:00 a.m., online single ticket sales begin for two more shows in Seattle Opera's 2009/10 Season: Giuseppe Verdi's crowd-pleasing melodrama Il Trovatore , and the enchanting ensemble comedy Falstaff. Phone and in-person sales begin Monday, September 14 at 9:00 a.m.
The thrilling Il Trovatore features swift action, intense pathos, and more hit songs than any opera but Carmen. A gypsy mother's love clashes with a dark secret from her past in this suspenseful romantic drama that had audiences shouting "Viva Verdi!" at its premiere.
In a new production of the delightful romantic comedy Falstaff, the merry wives of Windsor unite in mischief-making when Shakespeare's portly knight plots to seduce them for fun and profit. Equal parts orchestral virtuosity and fast-paced comedy, Falstaff is an opera that's not afraid to laugh at itself.
