Lions and Munchkins and Witches...OH MY! This long-awaited TMP revival comes to the stage for 16 performances this summer! The stage version of the classic MGM motion picture brings to life the story of Dorothy Gale, the Tinman, Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion as they weave their way down the yellow brick road on a magnificent adventure through the Land of OZ!

Based on the book by L. Frank Baum and adapted from the screenplay by John Kane, the score by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg includes all of the favorite songs from the film including: Over the Rainbow, Ding! Dong! The Witch is Dead!, If I Were King of the Forest, and We're Off to See the Wizard, as well as several more original songs cut from the film. Bring the whole family to the theater for this very special musical presentation. But hurry! Even with eight matinee performances, these shows are filling up quickly!

The production runs July 10 through August 2. Shows are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 pm. That's four performances every weekend! The production takes place at Tacoma Musical Playhouse located at 7116 Sixth Avenue. Tickets are $25 for adults, $23 for students, seniors and military. Student Rush tickets are $18 for opening weekend performances. For tickets or more information, please call 253-565-6867. Tickets available online at www.tmp.org. This production is suitable for all ages.
