The 18th Seattle International Festival of Improv Announces Event Line-Up

Join us for the 18th Seattle International Festival of Improv. The theme for this year's festival is "Serious Play," which explores, celebrates and reinvigorates the act of "play" in creative work.

The Festival features improvisers from Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States.

Sunday 6/22 International Improv Jam 8:30
Come see the participants of the Festival perform together for the first time.

Wednesday 6/25 Playful Showcase 8:30
The improvisers will work in playful groups of three

Thursday 6/26 Translation 8:30
Performers improvise in their native tongue. Someone may be speaking Japanese to someone who speaks German or Italian!

Friday & Saturday 6/27 & 28 Playful Path 8:30 PM
This improv is based on festival's theme, "Serious Play."

Friday/Saturday International Theatresports 10:30 6/27 - 6/28
This weekend's Theatresports will have an international flair, in which foreign and domestic teams battle it out for "improv world domination."

Sunday 6/29 International Improv Jam 8:30
Members of the Festival's ensemble gather for a final night of fun, laughter and camaraderie.
