As the tan fades and the summer nights get shorter, kick off a new season-and a new school year-with classes at Taproot Theatre's Acting Studio. Featuring the popular Drama with Your Mama for toddlers and their caregivers, a number of opportunities for kids and teens, and the brand-new Professional Actor Conservatory for adults, there's something for all ages this fall quarter.

Going Deeper with the Basics, the first class offered by Taproot's Professional Actor Conservatory, provides adults with scene work study that will help them delve into characters and deepen their storytelling skills. Taught by Los Angeles actor and director Marianne Savell, students will learn techniques and skills from a master storyteller that will unlock new doors in their performance ability.

Fall quarter runs September 9through December 7. Registration is open now. Classes are held at Taproot Theatre (204 N 85th St.) and Timberlake Church-Ballard (1460 NW 73rd St.) in Seattle. Drama with Your Mama is taught in both Seattle and Shoreline. Registration forms and class descriptions are available online at www.taproottheatre.org, or contact Taproot's Acting Studio at (206) 529-3668 or studio@taproottheatre.org.

Taproot Theatre Company's Acting Studio offers year-round classes for youth and adults taught by local theatre professionals. Budding thespians will find classes to help them develop their acting skills, while more seasoned actors can build on their knowledge and learn new techniques.
