Tacoma Musical Playhouse has announced the return of Ragtime, The Musical to TMP for 16 performances this summer.
Last seen on the TMP Mainstage in spring of 2006, Ragtime is a beautiful story with a gloriously diverse score. It intertwines the lives of three distinct families of the early 20th Century and poignantly illustrates history's timeless contradictions of wealth and poverty, freedom and prejudice, hope and despair, and love and hate. As clearly indicated in the tally of TMP's annual patron survey, Ragtime is surely an all-time community favorite. This 2013 production will feature many of the 2006 cast returning to share their portrayals, including Stacie Calkins as 'Sarah' and Lark Orvick-Moore as 'Emma Goodman,' and include regional favorites new to the TMP production like Eric Clausell as 'Coalhouse' and Micheal O'Hara as 'Tateh'. In one of the largest casts ever assembled at TMP, Director Jon Rake promises a production filled with beautiful music, top-notch acting and creative choreography. Ragtime, The Musical runs for only 16 performances from July 12-August 4, 2013. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm.Videos
