TALES OF A 5TH GRADE SOMEBODY Runs This Weekend at Seattle Public Theater

Seattle Public Theater's (SPT) Youth Program presents a romp through pre-adolescence with Tales of a 5th Grade Somebody, directed by Gregory Award-Winning Director, Shawn Belyea. Four [free] performances: tonight, April 25th @ 7pm, Saturday, April 26th @ 2pm & 7pm, and Sunday, April 27th @ 2pm. Admission to all youth performances are free to the community. Donations are encouraged to support SPT's Theater Education Program and to offer student tuition assistance.

A humorous look at the myths and the truths of being in the 5th grade - from the perspective of 4th graders, 6th graders, teachers, parents - and of course, the 5th graders themselves! This original theater piece draws from popular books, movies, and music as well as your own words to create a truly unique play. The 5th grade will never look the same again! Directed by Shawn Belyea (Balagan's August: Osage County and SPT Youth Program's The Government Inspector), Tales of a 5th Grade Somebody features the acting talents of Kennedy Allan, Maya Arkills, James Bay, Ian Graybill, Madeline Harrington, Hannah Janeway, Caetano Key, Sylvie Knox, Mia Martin, Stellan Min, Stellan Rude, and Reese Willis-Bihon. The production is stage-managed by Cecilia Droker.
