Seattle / Mainstreet Festival of New Musicals will take over Fremont's West of Lenin Theatre, presenting three brand new musicals, three late-night trivia cabarets, an evening of pitch sessions for fresh, up-and-coming musicals; and a final concert featuring all-Seattle talent performing pieces written by all-Seattle composers!

Mainstreet Musicals, a New York based organization, has enlisted the help of affiliates in twelve cities to create regional festivals that present three brand new musicals that have been carefully selected by Mainstreet's Guest Artistic Director, John Lithgow. "Now I look forward to the fun part. I can't wait to sit in the audience -- in St. Louis, Seattle, or any of the other lucky cities hosting the Festival -- to watch these three amazing pieces finally spring to theatrical life."

Merton of the Movies (Doug Katsaros & Donald Brenner), Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice (Lindsay Warren Baker & Amanda Jacobs), and Under Fire (Barry Harman & Grant Sturiale); will each have two performances throughout the 6-day festival.

Local actor / director / producer Billie Wildrick, Seattle's fearless affiliate, has added three Late-Night 'Feed-the-Artist' Trivia Cabarets that weave performances from festival actors in with theatre-sourced pub trivia. And to top off the festival, a concert to end all concerts. Seattle's Best performing pieces written by Seattle composers, with Best of the Fest awards given throughout the evening.

Subscriptions for the 6-day festival are on sale starting today: [http://seattlemainstreet.brownpapertickets.com] $75-$90, with $15 tickets for Late-Night 'Feed-the-Artist' Cabarets. Complete casting will be announced soon!
