Women and artists of color took center stage earlier this week at Theatre Puget Sound's 2017 Gregory Awards. Scroll down for the full list of winners!
Bring Down the House, co-presented by Seattle Shakespeare Company and upstart crow collective, for the most part swept the awards, winning Outstanding Production (Play), Outstanding Direction - Rosa Joshi, Outstanding Ensemble, Outstanding Actress (Play) - Mari Nelson, Outstanding Supporting Actress (Play) - Nike Imoru.
Sound Theatre Company won Theatre of the Year once again, for the second year in a row. They also won Outstanding Scenic Design - Margaret Toomey (Hoodoo Love) and Outstanding New Play - Keiko Green (Nadeshiko).
On the musical side, Village Theatre's Dreamgirls walked away with Outstanding Production (Musical) and Outstanding Supporting Actress (Musical) - Alexandria Henderson.
