STG Presents Rob Bell 2/13/2010

By:

Seattle Theatre Group (STG) presents Rob Bell on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 8:00 pm at the Moore Theatre.

Rob Bell is the Founding Pastor of Mars Hill Bible Church. He graduated from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, and Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He and his wife Kristen have three children and live in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He is the author of Velvet Elvis and Sex God, and is a coauthor of Jesus Wants to Save Christians. He is also featured in the first series of spiritual short films called NOOMA.

Overview of the event:

We plot, we plan, we assume things are going to go a certain way and then they don't and we find ourselves in a new place, a place we haven't been before, a place we never would have imagined on our own, and so it was difficult and unexpected and maybe even tragic and yet it opened us up and freed us to see things in a whole new way.

Suffering does that - it hurts, but it also creates.

How many of the most significant moments in your life came not because it all went right, but because it all fell apart?

It's strange how there can be art in the agony...
The Drops Like Stars tour is a two hour exploration of the endlessly complex relationship between suffering and creativity - and I'd love to see you there.
Tickets: $18.00 not including applicable fees. Tickets are on sale Friday, December 11th at 10am at Tickets.com, in person at the Paramount Theatre box offices, 24-hour kiosks located outside The Paramount & Moore Theatres, charge by phone at 877-STG-4TIX, or online at STGPresents.org.
