Reboot Theatre Company Announces 2018-2019 Season Reboot Theatre celebrates its fourth season with the launch of Reboot TEST KITCHEN this fall and a delicious new take on the beloved classic SWEENEY TODD directed by Seattle favorite Julia Griffin and music direction by Aimee Hong this spring.

In November, Reboot is encouraging artists to explore their reboot ideas on stage with the new program TEST KITCHEN. "This night is about tasting possibilities," says Artistic Director Jasmine Joshua. "We want to provide a space to explore new ideas without the pressure of putting on a full production." The inaugural event will include a selection from a new work by local beloved drag queen Butch Alice (who recently directed the smash hit She Kills Monsters at Theatre Schmeater)-- THE DARK/er SIDE OF OZ, a live music/audio/visual experience merging the music of Pink Floyd and aesthetics of The Wizard of Oz. Reboot's TEST KITCHEN ignites at 6:30pm Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Slate Theater. Tickets on sale now.

For its fourth production, Reboot will sink its teeth into Sondheim's masterpiece SWEENEY TODD. In addition to nontraditional casting for which the company is known, Reboot's SWEENEY TODD will highlight and satirize class struggle in a modern day setting. Directed by Julia Griffin (Swallow, In Arabia We'd All Be Kings, The Secretaries) and music directed by Aimee Hong (Bainbridge Performing Arts, Renton Civic, SecondStory Rep), SWEENEY TODD will run May 16- June 1, 2019 at Slate Theater (815 Seattle Blvd S). Tickets will go on sale in early 2019.

Reboot will also host two fundraising events to support its 2018-2019 programming. After the sold-out success of last year's fete, Reboot will be hosting another Halloween party on Saturday, October 27th at SodoPop. This year's ghoulish gala is sponsored by Queen Anne's Plaza Garibaldi Mexican Restaurant, which will provide a bountiful array of delicious party snacks for guests. Tickets on sale now.

December sees the return of the wacky and highly successful Reboot Telethon fundraiser, set to kick off Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the Slate Theater. Last year's telethon included game shows, astrology readings, live radio plays, interviews with local artists, and more. The company raised over $1500, all of which went toward artist stipends for its sold-out production of Little Shop of Horrors.
