Hooked - a one woman show about seven of the most notorious and eccentric females in recent history - will make its USA debut at this year's Seattle Fringe Festival, running from September 18-22, 2013 directly following its critically acclaimed debut at the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe.

Performed by award winning actress Nick Guadagni and based on a book of brilliant poems by Canadian poet Carolyn Smart, Professor of Creative Writing at Queens University, Hooked looks into the tumultuous lives of Myra Hindley, Unity Mitford, Zelda Fitzgerald, Dora Carrington, Elizabeth Smart, Carson McCullers and Jane Bowles.

Guadagni bring to life each of the women as they look back on their obsessions, their twisted families, and their demon angels. This is a production devastatingly articulate about rich creative women hobbled by history, powerful men and strong liquor.

Nicky Guadagni is originally from Montreal Quebec and studied drama at Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London UK. One of her first roles was 'Miranda' opposite Paul Scolfield's 'Prospero' in a legendary production of The Tempest in the West End. Since returning to Canada in the 70's she has performed a great variety of roles in television, theatre and film.

Hooked performed at the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe Festival where it received critical praise for both writing and performance.
