MY FIRST TIME Comes To Seattle 5/21-6/12 With Hamblin, Matthews & More

By:

First sexual experiences are one of the few things that almost every single person on this planet has in common, yet we rarely talk about them. Until now... In 1998 - a decade before blogging became popular - Peter Foldy and Craig Stuart created a website: www.myfirsttime.com. The site allowed people to anonymously share their own true stories about their first times. Over 40,000 were submitted from around the world: silly, sweet, funny, shy, sexy, straight, gay and everything in between. Ken Davenport adapted many of the stories into the hit play which premiered Off-Broadway in 2007 and has been playing to packed houses ever since.

Now the play is coming to Seattle! The show will open May 21st and play Thursday and Friday evenings at 8:30 pm through June 12th. This will be the first theatrical production to play in the Spitfire VIP Room and the first production presented by A New Theatre. These true stories will be brought to life by a cast of four Seattle actors ( Jack Hamblin, Emily Trantow, Kara Thornes and Jonathan Matthews) directed by Scott Francis. In addition, audience members are invited to fill out survey cards about their first times - which will be used to calculate audience statistics and may be read during the performance (names are not asked).

Spitfire Seattle is located in Belltown at 2219 4th Avenue between Bell and Blanchard. Come early for dinner before the show begins or enjoy cocktails and appetizers before, during and after the show. Tickets are $10.00 cash at the door or may be purchased in advance at www.brownpapertickets.com. Because Spitfire is a bar, theatre patrons must be 21+ and ID will be required.
