Seattle Center Fund and Seattle Center Advisory Commission are pleased to recognize two outstanding community leaders at the Legion of Honor. The award recipients, Korynne and Jeffrey Wright, were honored for their extraordinary contributions at an award ceremony held on April 21 at Seattle Center.

The Legion of Honor, established in 1982 on the 20th anniversary of the Seattle World's Fair, recognizes individuals who have contributed significantly of their time and talent to develop and sustain Seattle Center as one of the region's leading cultural institutions and destinations. In 2004, another award was added, the Seattle Center Honors, for professionals who have demonstrated a similar level of commitment and dedication. The award ceremony happens on the 47th anniversary of the opening of the 1962 Seattle World's Fair.

Jeffrey Wright is a long-standing Seattle Center collaborator. As Chairman of the Board for the Space Needle Corporation, he has played an instrumental part in the long, productive and friendly relationship the Space Needle and Seattle Center have enjoyed.
