Intiman Theatre Presents Black Nativity: A Gospel Song Play Nov. 29 - Dec. 27

"Hear again the Christmas story" as Intiman Theatre's Black Nativity enters its second decade as a gospel songfest for the entire family, and a Seattle tradition for audiences of all faiths. This celebration of the holiday season offers gospel favorites (performed by powerful soloists and a full choir) and dance (from traditional to tap). The production is directed by Jacqueline Moscou and choreographed by Kabby Mitchell III, with music direction by Pastor Patrinell Wright.

Black Nativity will run November 29-December 27 at the Intiman Playhouse, 201 Mercer Street at Seattle Center. The pay-what-you-can performance is Thursday, December 4 at 7:30 pm and the Opening Night Benefit Performance is Friday, December 5 at 8 pm.

Ticket and Performance Information
Single tickets range in price from $15 to $45, with discounts available for groups of 15 or more. Pending availability, $20 SRO/rush tickets will go on sale 15 minutes before curtain time. Tickets are available for purchase from www.intiman.org or over the phone from the Ticket Office at 206.269.1900. Intiman performs at the Intiman Playhouse, 201 Mercer Street at Seattle Center. Opening Night Benefit Performance
In Intiman's continuing tradition, proceeds from the Opening Night performance on December 5 will benefit local grassroots, community-based nonprofits in the Puget Sound region that are committed to social change and address the needs of underserved communities. In addition to organizations that will be selected by the Black Nativity Community Committee, co-chaired by Charles Rolland and Louise J. McKinney, the opening will benefit Intiman's Mary Helen Moore Scholarship Ticket Fund, which annually distributes tickets to more than 300 young people who could not otherwise afford to attend the production.

Santa Brunch
On December 14 and 21, Intiman will offer a family-focused "Brunch with Santa" in the private Founders Room, including a photo opportunity with Santa Claus and brunch catered by Ezell's Fried Chicken. Patrons are encouraged to bring their cameras and appetites. The brunches will begin at noon and continue until the 2 pm performance. The cost for the brunch is $15 per person; show tickets must be purchased separately.
