The Lakewood Playhouse has announced its 76th season of shows! It's a season filled with laughter, mystery, literature, and stories that touch the heart. This year includes three shows from Lakewood's 75 year history and 3 shows never before seen at the theatre. The full season and details are listed below.

"Murder Takes No Holiday"

Ten strangers are trapped on an island resort and one of them is eliminating them one by one until there are none. We challenge you to figure out who the murderer is in this terrifying mystery adapted from Agatha Christie's "Ten Little Indians."

LITTLE WOMEN by Louisa May Alcott (Last Seen at the Playhouse in 2000)
"The 145th Anniversary of an American Classic!"
November 7th through November 30th.

One of the most popular books ever written about childhood, this production charmingly recounts the home life of four sisters: literary-minded Jo March; Meg, the older sister who marries a young tutor; fashionable and artistic Amy; and gentle, musically inclined Beth. A wonderful story for the entire family!

GLENGARRY GLEN RO$$ by David Mamet (A Lakewood Playhouse Premier)
"Presented with Every 'Friggin' Word Included"
January 9th through February 1st, 2015.

Lakewood's 2014 / 2015 OUTSIDE OF THE BOX Presentation: This scalding comedy took Broadway and London bystorm. A collection of small-time, cutthroat real estate salesmen trying to grind out a living by pushing plots of land on reluctant buyers in a never-ending scramble for their share of the American dream. Winner of the 1984 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the 1983 Olivier Award for Best New Play, the 1984 New York Drama Critics' Circle for Best American Play, and the 2005 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play.

THE MIRACLE WORKER by William Gibson (Last Seen at the Playhouse in 2003)
"Hope is Life's Greatest Lesson"
February 19th through March 15, 2015

Helen Keller, who has been unable to speak, hear, or see since childhood, is increasingly difficult to educate, and her parents find Annie Sullivan to do the job. Although she is new to teaching, it is through Annie's strong will and unshakable faith that Helen discovers how to survive and thrive in the world through the eyes and ears of others.

THE 39 STEPS by By Patrick Barlow & Based on the Film by Alfred Hitchcock (a Playhouse Premier)
"3 Men +1 Woman / 153 Roles = Non-Stop Laughs!"
April 17th through May 9th, 2015

A RECIPE FOR ZANY COMEDY: Take 1 Part Monty Python and 1 Part "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged" and Mix liberally with Alfred Hitchock's Classic Film Mystery "The 39 Steps!" One Actor plays the Hero, Richard Hannay. One Actress plays the 3 Women that he encounters. Two Clowns play the other 150 Roles! A comedic treat like no other ... with just the right dash of mystery!

DROOD: THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD The Musical By Rupert Holmes (A Playhouse Premiere)
Adapted from the Novel by Charles Dickens
"The 'Solve It Yourself' Musical"
May 29th through June 28th, 2015

This wildly warm-hearted theatrical experience kicks off when the Music Hall Royale (a hilariously loony Victorian musical troupe) "puts on" its flamboyant rendition of Dickens' unfinished mystery. The giddy playfulness of this "play-within-a-play" is capped off by YOU choosing the solution to the mystery every night from one of 33 Possible Endings! Never the same show twice because you decide what the unusual, and hilarious, finale will be!

Bonus shows include:
