Sam Rose has been carrying a box with him for five years. His box is filled with sadness and he has to take it with him everywhere he goes. Due to the weight of the box, Sam loses his job and his friends.

Sam leaves the house every day trying to find a way to rid himself of this box of sadness and his six-year-old son Ivan is oblivious to where he goes. Adventurous Ivan sneaks out of the house and follows his father and together they work to try and open the box.

Billed as a show for anyone over the age of 5, this magical piece of theatre is as much for adults as it is children.

The set manages to be simple, yet somehow also quite complex. With clever use of puppets and props this play manages to seem a lot bigger than it is, without taking anything away from the beautiful story which it tells.

Kids will love the songs, puppets and sweet storytelling whereas the adults will appreciate the deeper meaning behind it. This is a lovely little play with an absolutely massive heart.
