New this Season is The Sarasota Ballet's 2 Ballet Family Package, where audiences can experience the magic of dance with two incredible family friendly ballets-The Secret Garden and John Ringling's Circus Nutcracker. These heartwarming stories will delight audiences of all ages and are a perfect introduction to the world of ballet. Families can save 20% on tickets by subscribing.

"Introducing the performing arts to the next generation is of vital importance to every art form and organization," says Iain Webb, Director of The Sarasota Ballet. "We felt that, with this season in particular, it was important to provide families with this phenomenal and affordable opportunity to take the whole family and enjoy these entertaining ballets together."

Will Tuckett's The Secret Garden invites you to follow Mary's journey of discovery as she explores her new life in the countryside. Through an incredible use of dance, puppetry and narration audiences will watch as Mary and her new found friends explore the secret garden and in the process find love, family and health in their own special paradise. 28 - 29 October 2017 at the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.

With John Ringling's Circus Nutcracker, choreographed by Matthew Hart, audiences will run away with Clara to Sarasota. In this rendition, the classic Nutcracker tale takes on a decidedly circus theme, beautifully melding the traditional Holiday tale with Sarasota's unique circus history. Whether it is watching the Arabian animal tamers with their exotic elephant and harem of wild cats or Clara and the Nutcracker battling the Mouse King in the lobby of a New York hotel, this is a Nutcracker like no other. This is also the only Nutcracker in Sarasota with Live Music, as The Sarasota Ballet is accompanied by the Sarasota Orchestra. 15 - 16 December 2017 at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.
