New this Season is The Sarasota Ballet's 2 Ballet Family Package, where audiences can experience the magic of dance with two incredible family friendly ballets-The Secret Garden and John Ringling's Circus Nutcracker. These heartwarming stories will delight audiences of all ages and are a perfect introduction to the world of ballet. Families can save 20% on tickets by subscribing.

"We felt that, with this season in particular, it was important to provide families with this phenomenal and affordable opportunity to take the whole family and enjoy these entertaining ballets together."Will Tuckett's The Secret Garden invites you to follow Mary's journey of discovery as she explores her new life in the countryside. Through an incredible use of dance, puppetry and narration audiences will watch as Mary and her new found friends explore the secret garden and in the process find love, family and health in their own special paradise. 28 - 29 October 2017 at the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.The Family Packages consist of a minimum of two tickets per performance with a 20% discount off their regular retail price. Since 1990, the mission of The Sarasota Ballet has been enriching lives, captivating emotions and strengthening the community through the art of dance. Under the leadership of Director Iain Webb and Executive Director Joseph Volpe, the company's expanded repertoire includes works by world-renowned choreographers such as Sir Frederick Ashton, George Balanchine, Sir Matthew Bourne, Dame Ninette de Valois, Michel Fokine, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Rudolf Nureyev, Jerome Robbins, Paul Taylor, Twyla Tharp, Antony Tudor and Christopher Wheeldon. The Sarasota Ballet has received national and international recognition for its diverse repertoire of rarely performed ballets, as well as the integrity and artistry of its performances. In the last five years, The Sarasota Ballet has been invited to perform twice at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC and the Fall for Dance Festival at New York City Center, as well as week-long residencies at the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival and The Joyce Theater in New York. The Company performed in May 2017 at the inaugural National Choreographic Festival in Salt Lake City.
