ROSS VALLEY PLAYERS presents the Pulitzer Prize winning play Harvey, by American Playwright Mary Chase. Harvey tells the story of Elwood P. Dowd, a mild-mannered, pleasant man, who claims his best friend is an invisible, over 6 foot tall white rabbit named Harvey. While Elwood's family is fed-up with his eccentric behavior, and try to have him committed, it's only after a series of wild events does everyone start to think that maybe the invisible rabbit isn't so bad after all. Harvey begins with a preview on Thursday, November 14 and runs through Sunday, December 15. Opening Night is Friday, November 15 at 8PM.www.rossvalleyplayers.com

Harvey begins with Veta Louise (Pamela Ciochetti), a social climber whose mission is to marry off her daughter, Myrtle Mae (Robyn Grahn). When Veta's brother, Elwood P. Dowd (Steve Price) makes and unexpected appearance at her Wednesday Forum tea party, and starts introducing his invisible rabbit friend Harvey to all of her society friends, she decides she can no longer take her brother's embarrassing behavior and chooses to have him committed to a sanitarium. A comedy of errors ensues when Veta herself is mistakenly assumed to be on the verge of insanity when she explains to Dr. Sanderson (Philip Goleman) that years of living with Elwood's hallucination have caused her to also see Harvey. The doctors commit Veta instead of Elwood, but when the truth comes out, it sets off a hilarious whirlwind of confusion and chaos as everyone in town tries to catch a man and his invisible rabbit. Harvey is directed by Robert Wilson, and produced by Robyn Wiley.

Additional cast members include: Mrs. Ethel Chauvenet (Robyn Wiley), Nurse Ruth Kelly (Lydia Singleton), Duane Wilson (Russell Lessig), Dr. William Chumley (Norman Hall), Betty Chumley (Stephanie Saunders Ahlberg), Judge Omar Gaffney (Wood Lockhart), and E.J. Lofgren (James Dunn.)
