Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC) announced today that KQED will present Forum on the Road: Santa Rosa at the Center (50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa) on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. Forum on the Road is a new series of in-depth live broadcasts that will span across the Bay Area, celebrating the milestone of Michael Krasny's 25th anniversary as host of Forum. For the engagement at LBC, North Bay resident and Forum's Friday host, Mina Kim, returns to Santa Rosa six months after wildfires ravaged the area to reflect and look forward with the residents, artists, reporters, and others who are rebuilding their communities in the wake of destruction. The two-hour live event offers an inside look at how the KQED produces the daily call-in program that presents balanced discussions of local, state, national, and world issues as well as in-depth interviews with leading figures in politics, science, entertainment, and the arts.

Forum on the Road: Santa Rosa is free to attend, but registration is required. Important Note: Tickets are not available through Luther Burbank Center for the Arts. To register and ensure a general admission ticket, visit fotrsantarosa.eventbrite.com.

As KQED News' evening anchor and the Friday host of Forum, Mina Kim reports on a wide range of issues affecting the Bay Area and interviews newsmakers, local leaders and innovators. Mina started her career in public radio at KQED as an intern with Pacific Time. When the station began expanding its local news coverage in 2010, she became a general assignment reporter, then health reporter for The California Report. Mina's award-winning stories have included on-the-scene reporting of the 2014 Napa earthquake and a series on gun violence in Oakland. Her work has been recognized by the Radio Television Digital News Association, the Society of Professional Journalists and the Asian American Journalists Association.
