Bay Area Cabaret will present a homecoming concert debut with Bay Area siblings and Broadway stars: Drama Desk-nominee Adam Jacobs and Arielle Jacobs.

Originating the title role of Aladdin on Broadway and earning a Tony nomination for Best Leading Man in a Musical, Adam Jacobs returns home to the Bay Area to star in the First National Tour of Aladdin at the Orpheum Theatre. Fresh from her starring role as Jasmine in the Australian tour of Aladdin, Arielle Jacobs will join her brother Adam for this very special concert featuring an eclectic mix of Broadway, pop and rock-some songs they would never have an opportunity to perform together in a Broadway show.

Originally from Half Moon Bay, Adam and Arielle performed extensively throughout the Bay Area as children. At age 5, big brother Adam began studying piano at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music but in his teens developed an interest in musical theater. He left the West Coast for college, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from NYU. He made his Broadway debut as Marius in the revival of Les Miserables, and also starred on Broadway as Simba in The Lion King. His other notable credits include leading roles in Zorro, Once On This Island, Ordinary Days, Mamma Mia and Cinderella. Dancing since the age of three, Arielle studied ballet, tap, and jazz, and then began studying voice at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She also attended NYU and graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance. Arielle made her Broadway debut as Nina in the closing cast of In the Heights and in the national tour, played Nessarose in Wicked, Princess Jasmine in the Australian production of Aladdin, and originated the role of Gabriella Montez in the original production and national tour of Disney's High School Musical.

A separately priced meet and greet and photo op with the Jacobs will follow the show. For those details, email info@bayareacabaret.org.

The Venetian Room in the Fairmont San Francisco opened in 1947 with a performance by Ethel Waters About Bay Area Cabaret (BAC)

Having presented cabaret seasons in a variety of elegant showrooms, Bay Area Cabaret found a permanent home in 2010 when it was invited to reopen the Fairmont San Francisco's historic Venetian Room, which had been dark as an entertainment venue for over 21 years. Following a gala opening (featuring Oscar, Grammy, Tony, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch), the company has gone on to present such musical legends as Barbara Cook, Chita Rivera, Judy Collins, Stephen Schwartz, Elaine Paige, Tommy Tune, Leslie Uggams, and the Bay Area Teen Idol competition (first year winner, Bobby Conte is currently starring on Broadway in Robert DeNiro and Chaz Palminteri's A Bronx Tale: The Musical). Having been awarded exclusive music booking rights to the Venetian Room, Bay Area Cabaret has continued to provide top caliber lineups, and now begins its eighth year in residence, to present Bay Area Cabaret's 14th season of music. Information about all Bay Area Cabaret shows and tickets are available at www.bayareacabaret.org or by phone at City Box Office (415) 392-4400. Subscriptions, and discounts for groups of eight or more, are available directly from Bay Area Cabaret at (415) 927-4636. Subscribers enjoy substantial discounts and reserved seating, and those who purchase seven or eight shows are allowed to exchange tickets among shows.
