The special three-hour workshop has been developed to promote a balance of artistic and technical progress through nourishment of all vital aspects of dance art. Each hour of the class will focus on a combination of the following essential elements of a dancer: the Mind, Body and Spirit. The dancers will be provided the fundamental skills needed to balance technical and artistic growth.

"I have a passion for not only sharing my talents on stage, but also working with the next generation of dancers to ensure that they have the same opportunities as me, if not better", stated Jeremy McQueen. McQueen who was first introduced to Wicked while in high school, at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts, made it his goal to one day perform in the Broadway sensation. After nine auditions over the course of four years, McQueen has recently landed a role as a featured dancer in the multi-million dollar, award-winning production and began performances with the company in early December 2009.

McQueen, who began training in musical theater with the San Diego Junior Theater, made his professional debut performing with the Starlight Theater at the age of fifteen in a production of The Wizard of Oz. McQueen later went on to study dance with the San Francisco Ballet, Alonzo King's LINES Ballet and the American Ballet Theater and obtained his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from The Ailey School/Fordham University in New York City.

"I've had the pleasure of teaching various guest dance master classes around the country to various performing arts high schools, local dance studios and universities." McQueen said. "It has been such a rewarding experience to work with various students and to help provide guidance and inspiration to assist these young professionals in their career pursuits. It is my mission to instill in the students that I teach that if they continue to work hard and stay focused, their dreams can become a reality."
