By:

San Diego's Canyon Crest Academy Envision Theatre presents Biloxi Blues, Directed by CCA Envision Theatre Coordinator Amy Blatt from tonight, November 6th through November 16, 2013 (a great way to honor and pay tribute our Veterans) at the CCA Proscenium Theatre.

THE STORY: Winner OF THE 1985 Tony Award for Best Play, "Biloxi Blues" is the second in Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Neil Simon's trilogy which began with Brighton Beach Memoirs and concluded with Broadway Bound.

When we last met Eugene Jerome, he was coping with adolescence in 1930's Brooklyn. Here, he is a young army recruit during WWII, going through basic training and learning about life and love along with some harsher lessons, while stationed at boot camp in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1943. *Rated PG-13 for Language and adult situations.

Canyon Crest Academy delivers not only an outstanding education but has the unique Envision arts program supported by donation dollars. Envision utilizes working artists as instructors. These professional artists work with the visual and performing arts students to deliver an outstanding arts experience at a professional level. CCA's theater program has won numerous awards and recognition. Performances are known as above and beyond a 'high school theater show'. The Canyon Crest Academy Foundation is a parent-led 501(c)(3) organization providing fantastic opportunities across academics, athletics, and the arts, and creating an environment where students can thrive. Your tax-deductible donation to the CCA Foundation is vitally needed to continue our support of these programs. You can donate online at www.canyoncrestfoundation.org.
