Arts Off Broadway Presents West Coast Premiere of NEXT TO NORMAL, 3/10-18
Arts Off Broadway (AOB) announces it will present the first West Coast production of "Next to Normal" from March 10 - 18, 2012 at the Lyceum Theatre (Horton Plaza) in San Diego. Tickets are now available for the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama and Tony Award winning musical by calling 619 544-1000.
The winner of three Tony Awards, including Best Original Score and Best Orchestration, is described as "... a rollercoaster ride that honors and allows our familial dysfunctions and imperfections, while it condemns us at the next turn," says director and lead actress Leigh Scarritt. "It's a must see for all of us who love someone that struggles with the continued journey of mental illness and identifies that their healing is a process and not an event."
The cast includes special appearances by Paul Kruse of the New York stage and television, David McBean, a top West Coast performer for the LA and SD theatre scene, and the introduction of Tiffany Jane, the 2012 Los Angeles Indie Artist in Music Award-winner as Best Blues Artist.
Arts Off Broadway (AOB) is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization founded in 2001 as a children's musical theatre and reorganized as a community theatre in 2008 with a continued dedication to inspire and create social bonds, awareness and expand the capacity for human empathy through performing arts.
