The JERSEY BOYS is the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons as they made their way to the top. Their music played on as their personal lives fell apart. While JERSEY BOYS continues to entertain audiences, Aaron DeJesus gave BWW a glimpse into his experiences in the business and taking on the role of Frankie Valli in the Second National Tour of the JERSEY BOYS.

Voting has opened for the 2016 BroadwayWorld San Antonio Regional Awards, honoring productions which opened between October 1, 2015 and September 30, 2016. Nominations were completely reader-submitted and after the nomination period ended October 31, BroadwayWorld's local editors proofed the list for eligibility and errors. Voting will run through December 31. Winners will be announced in early January!

CABARET is a classic musical with a cast of characters that can only be explained by seeing the show firsthand. Originally based on the story by the Christopher Isherwood novel, Goodbye to Berlin, CABARET'S music is written by the multi-talented team of John Kander and Fred Ebb. As part of the 50th Anniversary Season, the Roundabout Theatre Company's production of CABARET is traveling North America. Andrea Goss currently plays the role of Sally Bowles and she shared with BWW her life experiences and how she prepared to play the role.

San Antonio Symphony Creates New High School Residency Program

Beginning this fall, the San Antonio Symphony will partner with the orchestra program at John Marshall High School in Northside ISD and the band program at Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio ISD. This partnership comes through a pilot High School Residency Program, one of the Symphony's new education initiatives.

This particular production is winner. There's plenty to enjoy about The Playhouse's production of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. The campy, over-the-top farce is wildly entertaining, and overall it's a feast for the eyes and ears.
FTC Opens Enrollment for Camp Freddyburg

The Fredericksburg Theater Company (FTC) is pleased to announce open enrollment for their summer youth program, Camp Freddyburg 2016. The camp runs July 5-31, with a two-day orientation session on June 28 and 29. The camp schedule and application can be found on FTC's Facebook page and website, www.fredericksburgtheater.org. Enrollment is limited and scholarships are available if needed. Along with Ms. Goff several other theater, music and dance instructors will teach classes. The deadline for early registration is June 27th.

Lang and Murphy are married in real life and have been performing together for many years. Fredericksburg Theater Company (FTC) is a small theater in historic Fredericksburg, Texas between San Antonio and Austin. It's a perfect location to attract patrons from both cities. Beginning its 20th season, FTC opened with DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. Having set the bar high from past shows, audience expectations were great. And the audience was not disappointed. The quality of the show was professional and polished and the actors were superb.
