Steve Martin to Play Majestic Theatre, 8/26

Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers will be performing at the Majestic Theatre on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 8PM.

Steve Martin, one of the most diversified performers in the motion picture industry today, has been successful as a writer of and performer in some of the most popular movies of recent film history.

Branching out into the modern bluegrass scene, Martin found further success; his banjo album The Crow: New Songs For The Five-String Banjo won the GRAMMY for Best Bluegrass Album in 2010. On his follow-up album Rare Bird Alert and on his upcoming tour, Martin is joined by bluegrass band the Steep Canyon Rangers, called by the Washington Post, "one of the most engaging string bands around."
