Underfunded Film Festival to Screen Award-Winning Films This Month

The Underfunded Film Festival will showcase the winning movies, shorts and music videos as part of Film Quest on Monday, June 27th. Screenings will begin at 6pm at the Megaplex-17 Theater in Jordan Commons shopping area in Sandy, Utah.

The Underfunded Film Festival is a not-for-profit film festival established to promote independent filmmakers on limited budgets and micro budgets. Sponsored by Matthew Long and Melanie Long, the Underfunded Film Festival, headquartered in Pleasant Grove (Provo, Utah), has merged with the much larger Film Quest Film Festival, coordinated by Jonathon Martin.

Special guest will be filmmaker Raymond Rolak, who was one of the producers of the transmedia short ONLY WANNA PARTY. It starred some of Maui's world-class entertainers and platforms the upbeat music design of lead performers, Willie K and Eric Gilliom.

Rolak will address some important questions in his Q & A about sound design, product placement and how to make the new IRC-Section 181 work for both emerging and veteran filmmakers. He will also explain how director Brian Kohne wove the music seamlessly through the comedic script. The Underfunded Film Festival is both family friendly and very affordable at $7.50 per ticket for all the sessions and the afterglow.
