The hope-filled, Depression-era musical Annie is currently playing at the Heritage Theatre in Brigham City, and has extended its run through September 18th, due to the popularity of the show.

Annie, which opened at the Heritage Theatre on August 27th, tells the story of a spunky young orphan, determined to find her parents. She and her friends live in a New York City orphanage run by the evil Miss Hannigan. Annie's life takes a considerable turn when she is adopted by Oliver Warbucks, a billionare who tries to help her find the parents that abandoned her so long ago.

Annie is directed by Melanie Day and stars Pheobe Arnell as the title character. The musical, based off of the comic strip "Little Orphan Annie" opened on Broadway in 1977. It has music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin and a book by Thomas Meehan.

Tickets are $9 for adults and $8 for seniors and children under the age of 12. Showtimes are Monday-Friday at 7:30 pm and Saturday at 2pm and 7:30pm. For more information, directions and tickets, please visit www.heritagetheatreutah.com
