Photos have been released from the public reading of TOO MANY VOICES, a new musical written by Tyler Thompson, presented at The Harrington Center’s Exploration of New Works.
The reading marked the musical’s second public presentation and was part of the Harrington’s New Works Festival, which featured new projects in development. The event concluded with a talkback featuring Tony Award-winning Broadway producer Phil Kenny, composer Jonathon Keith, and director Tim Threlfall.
TOO MANY VOICES follows college best friends Alex and Jenna as they navigate the pressures of daily life and mental health struggles. As Jenna supports Alex through increasingly difficult moments, a deeper truth begins to emerge that alters their relationship.
The cast for the reading included Rebekah Thorn, Noah Hurley, Natalie Makin, and Isabel Ownby.
“This is something that can be produced everywhere and anywhere,” said Kenny during the talkback.
The Harrington Center’s Exploration of New Works highlights emerging musicals and plays as they move toward future development, with TOO MANY VOICES among the works continuing to evolve.
