Celebrate the Alwin Nikolais CENTENNIAL April 21-23 at 7:30pm at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center with a full evening of works by this dance/theatre wizard including the Salt Lake City premieres of "Kaleidoscope" and "Temple." See the genius of one whose multi-media ‘dance theatre' has served as an inspiration for current artists such as the Blue Man Group, Cirque du Soleil, Pilobolus, and Momix.

Originally performed in 1956, "Kaleidoscope" was radical in that it signified the beginning of new uses of props, stage make-up, costuming and lighting. Referencing a revival of the work in the 1990s, the New York Times wrote: "There is still nothing else like 'Kaleidoscope' on the stage today-even in the Nikolais repertory. Anyone who has not seen it, should."

Performed under the direction of Alberto del Saz, Artistic Director of the Nikolais/Louis Foundation for Dance. Tickets at $30 for adults, students and seniors $15. Tickets for groups of 6 or more are $20/each. To purchase tickets, or for more information, visit www.ririewoodbury.com
