The actors of the Norwegian National Theatre find themselves in an uneasy truce with Nazi cultural authorities during the German occupation of Norway. When they are forced to perform a Nazi propaganda piece, conscience comes face-to-face with The Final Solution.

Plan-B Theatre presents THE ICE FRONT, which honors the heroism of and dangers faced by the trilogy of Nazi victims - Jews, Roma and Homosexuals - by questioning what it means to be an artist, to be a patriot, to be human.

Featuring: Daniel Beecher, Ariana Broumas Farber, Mark Fossen (in Eric Samuelsen play #2), Stephanie Howell (in ES play #3), Jay Perry (in ES play #3), Topher Rasmussen (in ES play #2), RoBert Scott Smith (in ES play #2, Emilie Starr and Christy Summerhays (in ES play #2).

Designed by K.L. Alberts (costumes), Cheryl Cluff (sound), Keven Myhre (set), David Rees (lighting), Arika Schockmel (props). Stage managed by Jennifer Freed (assisted by Michael Scott Johnson). Directed by Jerry Rapier.

It took Eric Samuelsen nearly 30 years to write THE ICE FRONT. It is the largest-cast show in Plan- B's history and the ninth of Eric's plays to premiere at Plan-B, following THE KREUTZER SONATA, BORDERLANDS, AMERIGO, MIASMA, and the plays that comprised the #SeasonOfEric: NOTHING PERSONAL, RADIO HOUR EPISODE 8: FAIRYANA, CLEARING BOMBS and 3. Plan-B has also Script-In- Hand staged readings of his translations of Ibsen's GHOSTS and A DOLL HOUSE; Eric was also one of 12 playwrights that created (in)divisible. THE ICE FRONT was workshopped as part of Pioneer Theatre Company's Play-By-Play Series.

THE ICE FRONT is dedicated to Roy Samuelsen, who passed away in September 2017.

Performances run November 9-19, 2017 in the Studio Theatre at the Rose Wagner, 138 W 300 S, SLC, Thursday & Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 4pm & 8pm, and Sunday at 2pm. For more information and tickets, visit planbtheatre.org/ice.
