Peter Karrie's A PHANTOM RETURNS Plays The Egyptian Theatre, 7/19

Peter Karrie will be joined by Rebecca Timmons and select students from the Egyptian Theatre Youtheatre Musical Program for an evening of musical theatre fun. All of your favourites will be performed including a few additional surprises.

Peter Karrie's voice has been showcased in many of the greatest theatrical successes in contemporary musical theatre, the highlight of which must be his highly acclaimed portrayal of The Phantom in Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber's record breaking musical The Phantom of the Opera. Peter first played The Phantom at Her Majesty's Theatre, London before going on to play the role in Toronto, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vancouver and the Millennium tour of Great Britain, covering Southampton, Bradford and Manchester. His performances have been reviewed as "definitive" and have earned him the title of"The World's Most Popular Phantom"on two separate occasions. (As voted for by The Worldwide Phantom Appreciation Society). Karrie has also been cast as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Che in Evita, Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, and Daddy Warbucks in Annie.

From July 16-19, Peter will provide the historic Egyptian Theatre Youtheatre Musical Program a 4 day Masterclass where students will be led through an intensive and interactive workshop learning the basic principals and essential elements of musical theatre. The workshop is designed to strengthen students performance skills and abilities while getting a chance to perform with the West End star on stage during a live concert.
